Nicolas Valiente and Marisa Cano are the founders and main teachers of the Nicolas Valiente Dance Academy in Marbella.

They are the current British Champions (winners of the official British Open Salsa Championship) and 6th in the world in couples Latin Show.

NIKO VALIENTE – LATIN DANCES

Niko started his professional dance career in Latin Dance 10 years ago at the age of 19, in a small bar in Puerto Banus.

Since then he has travelled the World competing in various worldwide competitions and achieving very high positions (3rd in the World in Salsa Shines in 2008 and 2010, 6th in the World in couples Latin Show in 2010, 6th in Couples Salsa 2008 and UK Champion in 2005). He lived for four years in London where he danced with famous dancers and became a professional himself.

When he returned to Spain in 2008, he created his very successful dance academy in Marbella.

MARISA CANO – LATIN DANCES

Marisa has come from a background of ballet, tap and modern dance, which she started at the age of three, and achieved her Student Teachers Qualifications.

She started dancing salsa a few years ago with Niko and now she’s a professional salsa teacher.

She can spin faster than the light and she teaches women how to do it in her super popular lady styling class!

 

INMA COZAR TORRES – BELLY DANCE

Inma is our belly dance teacher and also the most sensual teacher of the academy!

She learnt to dance with dancers like Irene Aivar, Zareen, Salma Akef, Devora Korek and Amora Sharms and performed in many festivals around Spain.

Since 2006, she teaches women to use their feminine side and move their whole body in a sensual way. And she never fails!

VICTOR ZAFRA – STREET DANCE

He’s been dancing professionally for over ten years and he’s performed with various dance groups all over the world, from Madrid to Barcelona, from London to New York!

He’s a real street dancer, creative, idealistic and self-taught… In our academy, he will teach you how to dance hip-hop, street dance, breakdance, jazz-funky and a lot more…

PAULA & MARTIN – TANGO

Paula and Martin dance and teach Argentine Tango in La Clave.

They have taught and performed in several venues and participated on different dance shows, festivals and films over Spain and the UK.

FRANKLIN VARGAS – KIZOMBA

In his classes he communicates his passion for dance and teaches people to have fun and express themselves.

He thinks dancing is the best way to have healthy fun and socialize and he wants to teach it to everybody, as he believes everybody can learn to dance and feel the music.

He passed various courses of salsa en linea, cuban and acrobatic salsa, gave many courses and tellers and participated in many congresses and salsa events in and outside Spain.
